ADVERTISEMENTS

f1.    1) This ad basically tells you that their movies (assuming that this is a movie company) are extremely funny because of their unfortunate circumstances.  It basically brings up the concern about the corniest (for lack of a better term) of most movies.  This is satirizing a scene from Titanic, and the ad is basically saying that that wouldnt actually happen in real life, and since the above ad is something that could actually happen and is funny it tells the viewer that the movies the company shows would actually be funny.  The audience is definitely for adolescents, or people under the age of 21, because older people dont typically laugh at things like this.

2) 2) This ad for a weight loss dog food product is showing what could happen if your dog became too fat.  It brings up the concern not only for people's obesity issues, but animals as well.  This ad would be for any age, probably for those who are younger or dog lovers.

I propose that we use these millions of dollars to change all of America, and how does change work from the outside in, let’s give these guys who represent our country makeovers!”
II. First we work from the top on down: Obama, Biden, Graham, etc.
III. The left over money should go to redecorating one of the most recognizable symbols of our country: the White House!

A MODERN MODEST PROPOSAL

Rid Society of the Homeless and Bring Companies back from over seas.

Why have we lost so many jobs in America? Companies have been sending their factories overseas because of the cheap labor and lack of workers rights laws. So why not use the useless of America: the homeless. By having the homeless work in American factories companies can bring their factories back to America and instead of having to pay them minimum wage or more, they can do the job for free and have somewhere to sleep. This rids our beautiful streets trash and allows America to have more exports and less imports.
I. List Problems that the Homeless Cause
II. List Ways to Go About the above.
III. Conclusion: By doing this we can inevitably kill two birds with one stone.

Response to No Foul No Play

I pretty much understood everything that the author of No Foul No Play said. The only thing that bothered me, yet didnt confuse me was the fact that unless you had some previous knowledge of the cases mentioned there was no way of truly understanding the humor.
